Paris Police investigate robberies

PARIS, Tex. (KXII) -- Paris police are investigating two robberies early Friday morning.

Just after 3:30 a.m., police were called to a house on Hubbard between SE 32nd and 33rd.

Officers were told two people approached a man and demanded his wallet while one pointed a handgun at him.

There was a brief struggle before they took his wallet and left.

About an hour later, another armed robbery occurred a mile down the road at the Cefco Convenience store on Northeast Loop 286.

People there told officers a lone robber demanded money at gunpoint.

He made off with an unknown amount.

No injuries were reported from either incident.

Police aren't sure if the two are connected.
