RAVIA, Okla. (KXII) - Ravia Baptist Church members spent their afternoon Saturday serving and cooking free Thanksgiving meals for the public to enjoy.
It was held at the Ravia Community Center.
Youth Pastor, Justin Hartwell, says it's been about three years since they offered the free event.
He tells us they were able to bring it back this year thanks to the right amount of volunteers.
Hartwell says some of the volunteers who cooked and served the food are a part of the youth group at the church.
"It's pretty awesome, I mean we enjoy it," Hartwell said, "We enjoy the fellowship that we get to have with the people and the smiles on their faces we enjoy seeing."
Hartwell says they hope they get enough volunteers back again next year so they can continue the free Thanksgiving meal for those in need.
