DENISON, Texas (KXII) -- As Ruiz Foods looks to crank up production, they're asking Texomans to join the team.
Ruiz Foods made their debut in the Denison community in 2005.
Today, they have nearly 1,124 employees and are looking to expand.
"We have a job fair planned for tomorrow. We are hiring, looking to hire close to 100 team members."
Rebeckah Flanagan, Senior Human Resources Manager, says the company is expanding the El Monterey branch that produces frozen burritos and other Mexican foods.
She says they will be looking to fill a variety of different jobs.
"Mainly second shift production and packaging positions."
Flanagan says hiring people within the community is important for the company.
"We would really like to pull from as close to Ruiz Foods as possible."
David Staneart's his wife has worked for the company for two years.
"She's had a great experience there and she's felt like it's been good for the other workers from the community that work there. They seem to have a lot of benefits and help a lot with their wages."
He says the fact that the company tries to hire as many Texomans as they can, is admirable.
"Well it certainly can't hurt anything and obviously more people with more money helps the economy."
The job fair will be held at the Denison Hampton Inn Wednesday, from 10:30 in the morning to 5:30 in the afternoon.
If you're unable to make it, Flanagan says you can submit applications at the Ruiz food plant.
