CHOCTAW COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) -- A runaway teen from Maine who led local authorities on a high speed chase last fall has pleaded guilty in the death of his 17-year-old passenger.
Alexander Meyers was originally charged with murder.
He pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter Thursday.
OHP says Meyers and his girlfriend, Collette Boure, ran away from their homes in Maine.
They got in a high speed chase that ended in Choctaw County when Meyers lost control of his vehicle and hit a utility pole.
Meyers was sentenced to six months in prison but received credit for time served and was released.
