State Highway 199 over the Old Fort Washita River Channel between Madill and Durant has been closed a lot during the past year, and it's about to close again.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation said they plan to close the road on Monday for about two weeks, weather permitting, to replace its drainage structure.
ODOT spokespersons said drivers can use U.S. Highway 70 or State Highway 78.
The new pipe ODOT is putting in will be corrosion and fire resistant. The current pipe is more than 50 years old.
The area has had a lot of problems since last spring's historic flooding, with only one lane currently open.
ODOT said the repair will cost $75,000.
