HOWE, Tex. (KXII) - Both lanes of Highway 75 in Howe are back open after a semi truck carrying cars crashed into the center median divider.
It happened around noon Thursday near the Shepherd Road exit.
Police say the northbound truck blew out a front tire and lost control.
It was carrying six cars and two of them flew off during the impact and landed in the southbound lanes.
Hazmat crews were called to the scene because police say two fuel tanks on the truck ruptured.
Officers say a light pole was also damaged during the crash and TxDOT is working to repair it.
Police say the driver of the truck was given a ticket for unsafe speed.
No one was hurt.
