SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) -- The City of Sherman has elected to move the Marshall Tucker Band Hot Summer Nights concert on Thursday into the Kidd-Key Auditorium because of the threat of rain.
In a press release, City of Sherman spokesperson Nate Strauch said, "After consulting with the National Weather Service this morning, it has been determined the threat of evening rain is too strong to hold an outdoor concert tonight."
Concert goers will now need a free ticket to see the show. Tickets, 1,200 of them, will be provided to the general public on a first come, first served basis, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The band will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.
Limited concessions will be provided downstairs in the Municipal Ballroom.
