SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) -- Everyday at the Renaissance, Marie and Carlos Carter will sit down to play a game of dominoes.
That bond over dominoes began back in September, but it wasn't quite love at first sight.
"I didn't fall for her the first time I saw her, but it didn't take long," Carlos Carter said. "I'm sure less than a month, but the more we were together, the more we did and enjoyed each other's company. Then, this is the end result and we still do."
A month later, with the help from the Renaissance employees and their families, the couple got married.
A happy moment for the newlyweds.
"It was beautiful and we invited our children and anyone that lives here that wanted to come," Marie Carter said. "I invited them to come."
During their spare time, the Carters like to eat their meals together, watch television, and of course play dominoes.
"We have fun together," Carlos said.
"We have a lot of fun together," Marie said. "I think that's as much as anything. We just enjoy each other so much."
"Well we laugh together," Carlos said. "Sometimes she's laughing at me and not together."
And even with how quick their marriage was, the Carters prove that there is no timetable for falling in love and finding happiness.
"A lot of people helped us because it was quick, but you know at our age, we don't know how long we have so quick was good," Marie said.
The couple is currently living together at the Renaissance where they hope to spend their remaining days there always ready to play another game of dominoes together.
