SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) -- The City reopened Loy Lake Road on Friday after completing the expansion project between Sara Swamy Drive and U.S. Highway 82.
The City of Sherman is reopening Loy Lake Road on Friday.
Mayor David Plyler and other city leaders gathered in the Sam's Club parking lot, off of U.S. Highway 75 for a quick ribbon cutting ceremony.
"I'm just be excited about something that may seem small, but it isn't at all," Heather Zimmerman said. "We have a lot of shopping around here. People are going to be safer and its just more efficient."
The expansion project for Loy Lake Road began last year, and cost $2 million.
