ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) - A sober living facility in Ardmore has opened a new house to women who are in recovery from substance abuse.
The Director of Destiny Recovery Center, Calina Mills, says their newest facility, Liberty House, started housing women in recovery late September.
The new sober living facility is made to house up to 8 women.
Mill says the house was donated by private donors and multiple foundations to help expand sober living facilities since most are at capacity and have long waiting lists.
Mill says the spaces are already occupied but that the board for the recovery center is planning to expand that facility in the next few years.
