Some Grayson Co. local elections still too close to call

Residents get information on Pottsboro ISD's latest bond proposal at a community meeting held in February (KXII).

SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) – We are awaiting the final results of some local elections held Saturday in Grayson County still too close to call.

Pottsboro ISD’s $27 million facilities bond is currently failing by a single vote.
That could change later today when any remaining mail in ballots are counted. This is because of a recent change to the state election code that states that any mail-in ballots received the day after Election Day must be counted.

It could also impact Denison’s city council race. We know it's headed to a runoff between top vote getter Charles Shearer and either Rayce Guess or Brian Hander. Those two were separated by just two votes.
The final mail-in ballots could also impact the results of city elections held Saturday in Tom Bean and Whitesboro.

We'll bring you those final results as soon as they are in later today and tonight on News 12.
