STONEWALL, Okla. (KXII) -- Late night storms blew through town on Thursday night, damaging many homes and businesses.
Stonewall, Okla. suffered storm damage from late Thursday night / early Friday morning storms.
According to residents, the storm hit around 9 p.m. with strong winds and heavy rain.
The Pontotoc County Emergency Management Director Chad Letellier said he believes tornado touched down on the west side of town that traveled northeast for five miles.
The National Weather Service has not confirmed Letellier's claims yet.
No injuries were reported. electricity has been out for the whole town since last night.
Residents said they are thankful to have been able to get through the night.
"I just thank the good Lord that we survived it," Patty Pickens said. "And other people got a lot of damaged and I guess the good Lord was this whole town of Stonewall.
