Surveillance footage released in Bells robbery

BELLS, Texas (KXII) The robbery took place at Bells Market Thursday night.

Bells Police said the video shows the robbery happening at 9:25 p.m., but say the time could be wrong on the system. It was reported just before 11 p.m.

We’re told the whole ordeal lasted about 10 minutes.

Police said they plan to interview the victim, Cecil Montgomery, a second time due to a few inconsistencies, like a statement he made to police that the suspect was hunched over the whole time.

Police said it did not appear that way to them.

“The suspect entered, walks out of camera view, cleans out the safe and removes the camera system box,” Officer Daniel Luna said.

Police said they still have a lot of surveillance to review and they have no suspects.

We spoke with Montgomery after we talked to police. He said his story won’t change and the rest of the surveillance footage will prove it.
