SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) -- Nikeya Grant pleaded not guilty after being charged with capital murder in the death of Brandon Hubert.

Grant was also charged with robbery and engaging in an organized crime.

Prosecutors allege that in August 2017 Grant, Karalyn Cross and Reginald Campbell decided to rob a hotel.

Prosecutors said Grant and Cross waited in the getaway car while Campbell went inside the Quality Inn Suites and shot Hubert, who was working as the hotel clerk.

Grant and Cross turned themselves into police a few days later.

Campbell was arrested two months later in New York.
