About 1,400 people now have a warm jacket to wear this winter, thanks to a free coat drive.
The Texoma Council of Governments held its fifth annual coat drive Tuesday.
For the first time this year, the North Texas Food Bank and Grayson County Health Clinic took part as well.
Their idea was to make it a one-stop shop, as people get a coat, they can also sign up for other resources to stay healthy this winter.
"To keep them warm and get them access to resources, that's our goal," Brianna Sundberg with TCOG said. "Improving their quality of life, that's what we do here at TCOG, that's who we are and that's why we do what we do,"
All of the coats given away were donated by community members and local organizations.
