ADA, Okla. (KXII) -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say texting and driving caused a crash that left an adult and two children injured Tuesday night in Pontotoc County.

According to an accident report, Logan Crosby, 21, stopped at a stop sign on County Road 3605, looked down to read a text, and then pulled out and hit another vehicle on State Highway 1 East two miles east of Ada just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Three passengers in that vehicle, Tamara Underwood, 36, of Ada, and two children, ages 15 and 9, were injured in the crash. All three were taken to the hospital, last listed in stable condition.
