VAN ALSTYNE, Tex. (KXII) - A Van Alstyne man was arrested early Saturday morning for stabbing his stepfather.
Police arrested Lee Mason for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and for having a suspended license Saturday and is being held in the Grayson County jail on a $50,000 bond.
We're told Mason got in a fight with his stepfather on Colgate Drive and Bryn Mawr Lane in Van Alstyne when he stabbed him in the lower abdomen with a knife.
The stepfather was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover.
Van Alstyne police say Mason tried to flee but Collin County law enforcement found him driving down U.S. 75 shortly after the stabbing.
Mason was arrested back in November for deadly conduct after barricading himself in an apartment for six hours before police had to throw in tear gas to make him get out.
