PARIS, Texas (KXII) -- The owners of the Paris apartments that were badly damaged in a fire last week have set up a victims fund at a local bank.
Colonial Apartments co-owners Jeff Burgfechtel and Maltee McMahon say the apartments are open daily for tenants to come and get their possessions before repairs begin.
They set up a victims fund at First Federal Community Bank in Paris.
All proceeds will be divided evenly between the displaced tenants.
This month's rent and full security deposits are being refunded for each apartment.
It could be six months before those apartments re-open.
There has been a Facebook group created to keep tenants updated on the news surrounding the apartments. The group is called the Colonial Apartments Paris Texas fire information.
