ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) -- A woman was airlifted Sunday to the hospital after being thrown out of a camper trailer during a wreck on I-35.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers said just before 5 p.m. on mile marker 31, a pickup driven by Kevin Dunbar, 51, was pulling a camper southbound on I-35.
His passenger, Tawnia Dunbar, 47, was riding inside the trailer when the pickup left the roadway, overcorrected, and threw Tawnia Dunbar more than 50 feet.
Tawnia Dunbar was taken to Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, then airlifted to an Oklahoma City hospital in serious, but stable, condition.
Kevin Dunbar was not hurt.
