DURANT, Okla. (KXII) - A Durant woman is in the hospital after troopers said she swerved her vehicle Friday night to avoid hitting a dog.
It happened on Highway 70 Friday after 6 p.m. Troopers said Dianne Houston was heading west on the highway when she went off the right side of the road trying to avoid hitting a dog.
She crashed into a fence and then a tree before her vehicle rolled. She was pinned for 20 minutes before firefighters freed her. The dog didn't make it.
She was flown to a Plano hospital with several injuries.
