LONE GROVE, Okla. (KXII) -- A woman is accused of stabbing a 75-year-old man in the face with a kitchen knife.
Police say they found blood marks not just on the outside of the home, but all throughout the inside of the home where a stabbing occurred in Lone Grove on Monday afternoon.
The woman's fiancé said off camera the suspect and man are friends.
"He was stabbed around the nose area, it was, it was pretty bad," says Lone Grove Police Chief Robert Oldham.
Lone Grove Police arrested 39-year- old Brandy Trevino for stabbing a 75-year-old man in the face with a 6 inch kitchen knife.
It happened at Trevino's home on Birch and Newport road.
Police were notified of the stabbing after the man drove himself to the Lone Grove Police Department.
"Kind of from the top of the bridge all the way down to the mouth," explains Chief Oldham.
"Stabbed in then sliced. It literally almost cut his nose off," said Oldham.
"Oh my God, 75? That's horrible, who would do that to an elder? I'm kind of nervous to walk down the street now," says neighbor Kelly Parker.
Police don't know why the stabbing happened and neither do Trevino's neighbors.
"That's horrible, I can't imagine somebody doing that to someone else," says Parker.
"That's not something I want to talk about right here, but it is shocking," says neighbor Paxton Stewart
Trevino is currently booked in the carter county jail and Lone Grove Police are still investigating this case.
The 75-year-old man has been treated and released from a local hospital after undergoing surgery on Monday.
Trevino has been charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon. She is due back in court late February. Her bond is set at $100,000.
