This week's A+ Athlete is Fallon Hilliard from Dodd City High School.
If you follow any of the Lady Hornets sports, chances are you'll see Fallon competing. She's in softball, a regional qualifier in track, a first-team all-district volleyball player and the District MVP and an All-State basketball star.
Fallon loves competition and how sports have made her more outgoing, but it's what she's learned from her coaches that she says has built her character.
"They have really made me into a respectable human being because they teach me how to have manners, how to listen and how to be coachable," said Hilliard. "I can't thank them enough for what they've done for me."
"She's a great leader," said head basketball coach Alex Stephenson. "She's been our captain for two years now. She's a great player but even better leader. She's the backbone."
Fallon is ranked as one of the top students in her class with a 94.3 Cumulative GPA. She's in the band and volunteers with a number of organizations helping others that inspire her to pursue a career in the medical field.
"Ever since I was in sixth grade and started reading these books about children with disorders, I always wanted to pursue that career," said Hilliard. "And I know that you have to stay focus with academics. It's just always been a passion of mine to make sure that there's a solution for every problem [and] to help people solve their problems."
"She's interested in everything," said band/music instructor Juli Wild. "She is interested in helping people. She thinks about the school and the community I think too."
And that's why Fallon Hilliard is this week's A+ Athlete.
