Bells Lady Panthers receive state softball rings

The Bells Lady Panthers made history last spring winning not only the school's first state title in softball but the first one in Grayson County history. On Friday, they got their rings.

Big celebration in Bells on Friday. Members of the 2017 State Champion Lady Panthers were honored with the presentation of the rings. A big turnout with lots of smiles and what these girls were able to accomplish in the post-season won't soon be forgotten.

"I couldn't even breathe," said C.J. Crane. "I told Coach Stephens, 'catch me if I fall.' I've always wanted this, and I can't even describe it."

"Diamonds are a girls best friend," said Cheyenne Floyd. "That's all of what we wanted to get, and we aren't satisfied. We're going to go for the gold again next year."

"When we say the rings we had no words to describe it," said Bella Smith. "They're so beautiful, and we thank everyone for pitching in because I know there were donations. It's just amazing."
