There's been a change at the helm for the Denison softball team, as assistant coach Jeremy Green will now oversee the Lady Jackets next season.
Green takes over for Mike Garcia, who is leaving to become the head girls basketball coach at Lake Worth and to watch his son play baseball during the season. Garcia led the program for the past four years with a 46-49 record.
This past season, the Lady Jackets had one of their best seasons in a decade. They won a district title for the first time since 2006 and qualified for the postseason for the first time since 2012.
