Gunter's Sutton twins head to the TABC Hall of Fame

The Sutton twins that led the Gunter Lady Tigers to the state tournament three years in a row, are headed to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame.

Jill Sutton-Dodd and Amy Sutton-Porter will go into the Hall of Fame together after leading Gunter to state in 1995, 1996 and 1997.

Both players were named all-state three times and were named to the state tournament team three times. The two players combined for a 131-9 record.

Jill Sutton-Dodd tied the state tournament record for most made 3 pointers in a game. She led the state in 3 pointers made and had 342 career 3 pointers.

Amy Sutton-Porter was selected as the 2A player of the year in 1997. She made 241 career three pointers.

The two players teamed up at TCU, where they led the Frogs to their first NCAA tournament bid in 2001.
