Leonard girls dominate State Track Meet

The Leonard Lady Tigers flexed their muscles at the UIL State Track Meet, winning the overall championship, and many events along the way.

Leonard twin sisters Natalie and Kelcie Simmons racked up the awards. Natalie winning the gold in the 200 meter dash, the long jump and the triple jump. Kelcie won gold in the 100 meter dash and finished second in the long jump.

Leonard won first place in both the 4x100 relay and the 4x400 relay. They won the 3A title as a team as well.

The Whitesboro boys had a strong day as well, finishing 4th in the relay and third overall.

Ardmore standout Brayden Bryant won the 5A state championship in the shot put.

Sherman's Sadie Giles finished 5th in the 100 meter dash. Her teammate, Bria Bullard finished 6th. Giles also finished 4th in the 200 meter dash.

The Ardmore Lady Tigers finished 2nd in the 4x200 relay.
