Muenster beats Woden, 2-0, state finals next up

The Muenster Hornets advanced to the 2A state championship game with a 2-0 win over Woden in the semifinals.

The Hornets were paced by pitcher Stetson McGrew who threw a 3 hit shutout. McGrew struck out 9, and walked 1.

The game was scoreless heading into the 5th inning. Kagen Dangelmayr beat out a throw at first base when Danny Luttmer and Clay Stevens scored to give Muenster the 2-0 advantage.

The Hornets will play Dallardsville Big Sandy at noon on Thursday in the 2A state championship game at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
