Muenster falls in State Baseball Title Game

The Muenster Hornets came up one win short of repeating as 2A baseball champions, falling 13-3, to Dallardsville Big Sandy in a state title rematch.

Hornets did not waste any time to score. Carson Cheaney laid down a bunt, the throw was way off. That would score Clay Stevens from 3rd and Kagen Dangelmayr from 2nd to put Muenster up by 2.

Dallardsville Big Sandy would be up 7-2 in the 5th, when Parker McGrew gets the base hit to left to score Clay Stevens.

But Dallardsville Big Sandy would be too much. A tough loss to end another great season for Muenster, 13-3, in 5 innings.

"We just didn't throw strikes today," Muenster baseball coach Josh Wheeler said. "We couldn't find anybody to throw strikes. I'm proud of what we've done. We won 35 games this year. We had a great year. Anytime you get here, you know, it's an awesome year."
