DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern first baseman Elexis Watson once again added to her honors, this time earning D2CCA First Team All-Central Region honors, this coming after earning First Team NFCA All-Central Region recognition last week.
The freshman from Muskogee, Okla., was named the Great American Conference Freshman of the Year as well as receiving first team All-GAC honors and was additionally named a Co-Most Outstanding Female Athlete for SE.
Watson was ranked in the GAC top five in nine different offensive categories, including average, slugging, home runs, doubles, and RBI. She hit .391 on the season and finished with 71 hits, 16 of the homers and 19 of them doubles while driving in 54 runs and scoring 43 of her own.
She slugged .767 and boasted a .488 on base percentage, while in the field she carried a .995 fielding percentage at first base.
Southeastern finished the season with a 34-23 record overall and finished third in the GAC.
