Sherman baseball locks up postseason return

Still a few games to go in the high school baseball season, but for the Sherman Bearcats they will have at least one additional series.

Sherman knocked off Denton Braswell 10-4 Thursday night, the win sends the Bearcats to the postseason for the first time since 2014.

The Bearcats currently sit in second place in district and have three more games left on their schedule. Sherman Head Coach Justin Jennings says the Bearcats will look to seize all the momentum they can before the postseason begins.

"Any extra excitement, a winning streak, kids playing well," Jennings said. "We want to do everything they we can to make sure that they're ready to go and I think they will be."

Sherman's next game is Tuesday, April 18th versus Denton Ryan at Veteran's Field.
