Silo wins 13th baseball title

The Silo Rebels are the 2018 Oklahoma Class 2A Spring State Baseball Champions.

The Rebels captured their 13th baseball title on Saturday, after they defeated Dale, 10-7. The Rebels made their seventh straight spring baseball championship game appearance on Saturday.

"It’s the best feeling ever," Silo head coach Billy Jack Bowen said. "It’s different because you got different kids playing different roles. We felt good coming in that we were really going to be competitive. Just a great job for our team and our school, and we had great support.

“It’s the best feeling in the world," said Silo pitcher Carson Atwood. "We’re the most resilient team I can think of. Just a great feeling.”

"We knew that they were going to come out, compete and be a tough ballclub to handle, but we ultimately pushed through," Silo first baseman Kash Walls. "Winning it by itself was hard enough but being able to go back-to-back is incredible.”
