TCS softball prepares for state semifinal

The TCS softball team is headed to the state tournament for the second straight season.

The Lady Eagles will take on St. Joseph High School out of Bryan in the state semifinals on Wednesday.

TCS looked good with convincing wins at regionals, and now they, will travel down to Crosby to try and get to the state championship game.

"Well anytime you go to the State Tournament, it's always a great feeling," Mark Ellison, TCS head softball coach said. "You look at your kids playing the sports, and they're doing a great job of getting you there. It's a great opportunity for our school, to put our school out there in TAPPS to let them know that we're out there."

"Last year was the first time, so it was kind of fresh and we were really excited," Aubrey Edwards, TCS centerfielder said. "But this year, going back, we kind of know what to expect, so it's like even better this time around."

"Being able to go back is just an incredible thing to be able to show them that we made it last year and we made it this year," Jenna Jaska, TCS first baseman said. "We're going to make it this time around."
