MARSHALL COUNTY, OK -- The second of two women charged in the murder of a Lindsay, Oklahoma man made a plea in court Wednesday.
The Marshall County Court Clerk says Jessica Cornwell pleaded no contest to manslaughter in the first degree. She was sentenced to 4 years in prison with 16 years probation.
Investigators say Cornwell stabbed Nathan Blankenship to death as she and another woman drove through Marshall County in February of 2013.
The other woman, Amanda Beasley, pleaded guilty in October and was sentenced to three years in prison.
An affidavit states that Beasley told authorities while the three were on the way to Madill to borrow drug money Blankenship "freaked out" and Cornwell stabbed him in the chest.
Cornwell will receive credit for time already served.
