3rd Annual Chisum Education Foundation Golf Tournament tees off Saturday

PARIS, TX -- The Third Annual Chisum Education Foundation Golf Tournament tees off this Saturday.

The money raised will go towards scholarships for seniors that wish to further their education.

"Whether it be at a junior college, a four-year college, any technical program, or any type of education beyond high school any student is eligible to receive this money," said Chisum Superintendent Tommy Chalaire.

The school district hopes to raise four to five thousand dollars for the foundation. This is the first of two events the education foundation puts on to raise money for graduating seniors.

"The purpose of this is to reward students money at the end of their senior year," said Chalaire. "We guarantee every student a scholarship if they meet the academic criteria."

Registration for the tournament is still available by calling Chisum I.S.D or showing up at the Paris Country Club the morning of the event.

The tournament is set to begin at 8 am on Saturday.
