4 new West Nile cases, 1 more death in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting four new West Nile Virus cases and one additional death in the state.

The department reported Tuesday that there have now been 127 confirmed cases of the disease in Oklahoma this year and a total of eight deaths.

The previous record of 107 West Nile cases and seven deaths that was set in 2007 was broken earlier this month.

The Health Department reports three of the deaths were in Tulsa County; two in both Oklahoma and Carter counties and one in Seminole County.
