ADA, OK -- Ada City Council members unanimously approved a contract to conduct a study on the cost of the city's water services.

According to Mayor Greg McCortney, the council approved the contract to hire to do a study on the costs to provide water to the city.

McCortney says since the city provides water to almost all of Pontotoc County, they want to make sure that the rate at which residents pay is appropriate.

He says they'll start the study immediately and it will take 4 months to complete.
