Ada City Council swears in new council member and elects Mayor and Vice-Mayor

ADA, OK -- Ada City Council swore in a new city council member and elected the city's mayor and vice mayor Monday.

Bryan Morris, will now serve on city council for 2013- 2014 year.

He will be taking the seat of Dick Scalf.

City council also re-elected Greg McCortney for mayor.

This will be McCortney's second consecutive term as mayor and joining him as vice mayor is Darrell Nemecek.

McCortney says he's happy to serve another year as Mayor of Ada.

"Being re-elected to the council and having the citizens vote you in for a second term, you hope that means they think you're doing a good job and to be re-elected by my fellow council members as mayor is a great honor," McCortney said.

McCortney says the city is working on many projects this year and he is ready to get to work.
