Ada bank robber pleads guilty

MUSKOGEE, OK - A man who robbed an Ada bank in October where his girlfriend worked has pleaded guilty. The U.S. Attorney's Office in Muskogee tells us 22-year-old David Jaquonn Cole pleaded guilty in federal court for the robbery of the Citizens Bank on Cradduck Road in Ada on October 21.

Cole and bank employee, 21-year-old Meagan Short, were arrested later that day when police found $78,000 in cash in the attic of the couple's home, but a federal indictment states they stole over $150,000.

20-year-old Tristan David Williams is also charged with robbery.

Sentencing is pending for Cole, who faces up to 20 years in prison and up to $250,000 in fines. He remains in custody of the U.S. Marshals.
