DURANT, OK - The man who investigators say pulled the trigger in the murder of former Denison football star D.J. Jones was arraigned yesterday in Durant. 23-year-old Harold Hass pleaded not guilty to first degree murder.

Investigators say Hass, Dustin Metcalf, and Wesley Kelley hatched a plan to rob Jones using Alora Hix as bait last summer after a drug deal gone bad, and that Hass fired the fatal shot when Jones tried to run away.

The case is set for a September trial docket. The three others charged are awaiting trial.

Jones was an all-state running back at Denison High School, where he helped lead the Yellow Jackets to the state semifinals in 2009.
