ARDMORE, OK -- Ardmore city officials are welcoming citizens to join a series of newly formatted town hall meetings Monday evening.

The meetings will include a power point presentation highlighting current city issues and projects, as well as, discussions with various city departments.

The first town hall meeting will be held Monday evening at 7 PM at the HFV Community Center and the public is encouraged to attend.

Ardmore Mayor, Sheryl Ellis, is hopeful the meetings will help citizens better communicate with city commissioners who will be in attendance.

According to Mayor Ellis, "What I would like to do is take this to our citizens, knowing full well when we first start our attendance could be very sparse, but I think if we do this year after year and if we do it right, hopefully it will grow" .

For those who can't attend tonight, there's another town hall meeting Tuesday at the Ardmore Public Library at 7 P.M.
