Ardmore theatre makes history

ARDMORE, OK - According to a board member of the community Theatre Association, the musical "Les Miserables" will be performed for the first time at an Oklahoma community theatre.

The production has attracted cast members from all over the state, as well as, from Texas.

Director, Dell McLain, says it's not a part of the theatre's regular session. He says it's being used as a fundraiser to help keep the theatre alive after recent cuts from the state fund.

"Ardmore Little Theatre is using this production to fundraise, to develop new programs, to sustain their year-round efforts, and a big show like this we hope will really attract attention," said McLain.

Performances Of "Les Miserables" begins this upcoming weekend and runs until the 28th.
