ARDMORE, OK - Police in Ardmore have arrested a man they believe was involved in a drive-by shooting last August.

21-year-old Lawrence Douglas, Jr. was booked into the Carter County jail last night and charged with shooting with intent to kill.

In August, Douglas was accused of shooting at a home in the 800 block of 3rd St. SW.

He was taken into custody last night after Ardmore police responded to a disturbance call on 8th street NW.

Police said they found Douglas inside the residence.

"Mr. Douglas was implicated in a drive by shooting," Sgt. Ryan Hunnicutt said. "Fortunately, no one was injured in that drive-by shooting. However, someone who is going to commit this sort of act of violence we want them in jail and we had a warrant issued for Mr. Douglas and we caught up with him."

He is being held on a $100,000 bond and is expected before a Carter County judge in late February.
