ARDMORE, OK -- More than 180 potential gifts were taken home at Ardmore's annual Festival of Lights Auction Tuesday night.
Things like jewelry, trips to New York and even puppies were bought by the hundreds of community members that showed up at the event held at the convention center.
The auction benefits the Regional Park Christmas Drive-Through, a mile and a half long route featuring more than 125 festive displays. Janet Bateman, the Convention Center's marketing director, says this fun activity serves more than just one purpose.
"We hope that the Ardmore people find Christmas items and really enjoy the auction. It's for a good cause and one that we all get to really enjoy over the Christmas holidays," Bateman said.
Bateman says the light display will open the evening of November the 19th.
