GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- The images from Monday's Boston bombing rocked the nation.

And they hit home with Shan Nanji.

"The only thing they did wrong was they were in the wrong place at the wrong time," he said.

It prompted this Austin College alumnus to immediately assemble his web team.

"And I said let's go purchase these domain names," he said.

The domain name is www.bostonvictimsfund.com. And it raises money for medical costs for the victims of Monday's bombing.

He said they're working with Massachusetts General Hospital - donating 100 percent of everything they receive.

"We're just gonna provide it to the hospital and make sure it goes to the victims," he said. "Whether it be ER visits, mental health visits or surgeries."

He said he wants to show the nation's resiliency.

"One of the things that's so great is that we always come together. And I really hope we can come together now to help those in need, whether it be financial or moral," he said.

But there are some things money can't fix.

Texoma Red Cross Executive Director Jim Durham said they're helping to put people in touch with family and friends in Boston.

"If I had a sister in Boston and I hadn't heard from her in several days and she wasn't answering her phone, and I knew she was in the marathon and I was concerned," he said.

The organization has what they need at the national level to respond. Durham said local branches are taking a reactive role.

"If they want to donate blood, we'll try to find a way for them to do that locally and earmark it for that area," he said.

Nanji said America's generosity is what sets the country apart.

"America's more than people. We're a spirit. And we're gonna come together as spirits can to resonate and do whatever we can to help the people affected by this."

He said they also plan to add a place on the website to send greeting cards to victims as well.
