PONTOTOC COUNTY, OK -- Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly stole nearly 100 head of cattle in Pontotoc County.

They say Larry Gene Smith Jr., who goes by Snag, stole cattle from landowner Jet McCoy near Allen.

Jerry Flowers, chief agent with the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Food and Forestry, says the cattle went missing in early October.

Flowers says Smith and an accomplice stole the cattle and tried selling them at a livestock show in Atoka.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest and a bond is set at half a million dollars.

Flowers says if you have any information regarding Smith's whereabouts to call Investigative Services at the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Food and Forestry
