SHERMAN, TEXAS -- These seniors at Texoma Healthcare will be wrapped up and warm for Christmas, thanks to generous neighbors at Home Town Dental.

"I think it shows how special our residents are to not just us, but the community as a whole," Texoma Healthcare Administrator Rob Burrus said.

Home Town Dental donated dozens of fleece blankets, which were passed out at Wednesday's Christmas party.

Seniors say it's nice to know others care about them and their friends here.

"I love this place and all the people in it," resident Geri Bostwick said.

Burrus says it's acts of kindness, like this, that keep the seniors's spirits up during the holiday season.

"I think it makes them feel like they're still wanted. Unfortunately, a lot of people who live here don't have a lot of family close, so it's important for them to have those connections," Burrus said.

Bostwick shared that sentiment.

"Well it makes me happy to know they still remember us," Bostwick said.
