DENISON, TX - The water contact ban at Lake Texoma due to blue green algae has been downgraded to an advisory.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says based on recent test results they changed the warning to a lake-wide advisory.
Lake Texoma is open for boating and fishing. The Corps says use caution while boating and to clean fish well before eating them, but that they are safe to eat.
The water contact ban had been in effect since late August. The Corps says they will sample the lake again sometime in mid-December.
