Board votes to increase tuition at Grayson College

SHERMAN, TX-- The Grayson College Board of Trustees decided Tuesday night, to raise the cost per credit hour.

Grayson County residents will pay an additional $4 per credit hour, while out of district residents will pay an extra $7.

Shelle Cassell, Marketing Director for the college, says they have to raise tuition because the state is cutting back funding for community colleges with flat or decreasing enrollment.

She estimates the increase will bring in around $363,000 in revenue., which will make up for lost funds.
