FANNIN COUNTY, TEXAS -- Steve Filipowicz serves as executive director of the Bonham economic development corporation and the
director of tourism for the city of Bonham.

He currently works out of the Bonham visitor
center, where he wants to stay, but some city council members and city manager Bill Shipp feel BEDCO would be more efficient if it were housed in city hall with other city offices.

Filipowicz feels tourism and economic development go hand in hand and he hopes the Bedco offices can remain at the visitor's center.
Regardless of their location, the fact that the city is encouraging Bedco's growth is a good sign.

Bedco will have the opportunity to respond to the council's recommendation, but the council will ultimately make the call.
No matter what happens, Filipowicz is confident the council will make a decision that's best for the economic development of the city.
