Bonham man sentenced to 18 years in prison for aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault

FANNIN COUNTY, TX -- A Bonham man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault.

According to the Fannin County District Attorney's Office, 37-year-old, Calvin Webb, had spent the day with his girlfriend, Shelbi Titsworth, and the victim at Carpenter's Bluff back in June of last year.

They say Webb drove back to his home, where he beat and raped the victim.

Prosecutors say Webb even told Titsworth to restrain the victim while he continued to rape her.

Titsworth plead guilty to aggravated kidnapping in October, and received 118 days in jail and 10 years of probation.

Officials say Webb must serve at least half of his sentence before he can be eligible for parole.
